I thought you wont let me down...

i got hurt but felt you would know,
but you didn't even have a few seconds to borrow.
i sobbed for hours, holding on to the reminiscence of the moments
when you were always there for me,
but today you didn't come to hold me from breaking apart!

i could see through the window,
the stars smiling to play your part somehow
but all i craved for was you

sand kept on falling and my ears recollecting your voice,
umpteen number of times i felt you were just there for me and only for me
reality then struck my head and there was that all i could see,
the empty corridor was again there for me!

crying, i dozed but could not detach IT,
my heart still dreamt of you, anticipating that single bit.
the sun came by and the birds were chirping
u did arrive but unconversant of all i bore

clearing my throat,i gulped all tears right into my heart,
realized that you were not the one to heal the wound
and left the road thinking,
"why did u let me down"!
